ICONIC magazine launch its Spring edition - with a front cover by Artist Jeremy Houghton

ICONIC magazine, house magazine for the Iconic Luxury Hotels group which includes The Mayfair Townhouse, 11 Cadogan Gardens, The Chelsea Townhouse, Chewton Glen, The Lygon Arms and Cliveden House, launches its Spring 2024 edition.

As the Artist in Residence for The Lygon Arms Hotel, Jeremy was the natural choice for the double opening front cover of this covetable magazine. The Newhall Publishing team agonised over a selection of paintings, finally choosing 'Stable Mates' an oil painting immortalising two great racehorses Kauto Star and Denman. With the words ICONIC embossed in gold, the combination feels sophisticated and decadent.

The magazine includes a four-page feature titled 'Royalty, Flamingos and the Road Home' charting Jeremy's journey from Broadway to South Africa, painting for the late Queen and King Charles, to his latest residency bringing him back home to the Cotswolds. Born into the Arts & Crafts epicentre, with names such as William Morris, John Singer Sargent and Francis Millet as part of the movement, it was perhaps his destiny to fall under its influence and become an artist himself.
